A qualified dietician with a Postgraduate Degree in Food and Nutrition, She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Dietetics and Public Health Nutrition. She is the Convenor of the Nutrition Society of India, Chandigarh Chapter, and has been the National executive member of NSI, Hyderabad in the past. She is the Convenor of the Indian Dietetic Association (IDA) Chandigarh Chapter.
A Registered dietician, She has broad experience of 30+ years of Service in the Department of Dietetics of the prestigious Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh. She retired as Chief Dietician and Head of the Department of Dietetics, PGIMER, and has set up her own Diet clinic in the City Beautiful Chandigarh.
She has authored various books on Nutrition and has published numerous nutrition related Articles in various books and journals of National and International repute. She is the recipient of ‘A N Radha Award and ‘Young Investigator Award for her paper presentations in the National and International conferences. She is a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), trained FODMAP Dietician from MONASH University Australia. She is also a certified trainer in Critical care Nutrition.
